Salmon & Trout Association
The Salmon & Trout Association (S&TA), which was recently awarded charitable status due to their work concerning fish stock management and aquatic conservation, represents the public interest over issues relevant to the management and conservation of water, the aquatic environment and its dependant species. S&TA see the status of fish populations as a natural barometer to the health of aquatic ecosystems, and consider themselves environmentalists first, fishermen second.
S&TA's work consists of:
- Management and conservation of the aquatic environment, both freshwater and marine
- Management and conservation of all fish related species of UK origin
- Scientific Research into relevant issues to support the Charity's advisory and influencing work
- Education
