We're in the midst of a climate and nature emergency and we need bold leadership from all levels of Government to tackle it.
Extinction Rebellion and school strikers have shown that Londoners want more urgent action, so with the Mayoral election on 6 May all eyes are now on the Mayoral candidates. What policies and ideas do they have to protect people, nature and climate in London?
Will their promises go far enough to deliver a more natural capital? Will they reduce pollution and waste, secure natures recovery, mitigate and adapt to climate change and improve health and well-being?
On behalf of the 'A More Natural Capital' Coalition, a group of environmental NGOs who share a common vision for a greener vision, Wildlife and Countryside Link will be hosting a virtual hustings event for London mayoral candidates, ahead of the elections in May. The event will be open to the public and will allow voters to scrutinise the environmental proposals advanced by each candidate.
