Rewilding Britain

Rewilding Britain was established in 2014 as the first national charity with a primary focus on rewilding. They aim to tackle the climate emergency and extinction crisis, reconnect people with the natural world and to help communities thrive.

Rewilding Britain was established in 2014 as the first national charity with a primary focus on rewilding. For us rewilding is the large-scale restoration of ecosystems where nature is allowed to take care of itself. In doing so, rewilding finds a new balance between people and nature where both can thrive.

Our long term vision is to see at least one million hectares of Britain’s land rewilded over the next 100 years. Over the next 3 years we will focus on catalysing the establishment of 3-4 pilot rewilding projects and being a strong advocate for policy changes which support these projects.
