Landscape Scale Conservation was identified at Link's October 2007 Policy Director meeting as a policy area which would potentially benefit from a more joined together approach by Link. Throughout 2008 Link discussed this issue, and how best Link can apply it to its broader work programme, bringing together the Chairs of the relevant Working Groups and Task Forces, and senior representatives of Link's member organisations.
A small Steering Group of Link members was established to provide Link's September 2008 Policy Director meeting with its recommendations on whether, and how best, Link can work on Landscape Scale Conservation.
