Wildlife and Countryside Link is based in London and focuses most of its efforts
on influencing Westminster and Whitehall. |

There are other Links in each of
the devolved administrations. All four Links regularly exchange information and
meet face to face twice a year to discuss priorities and best practice. We are
grateful for funding from WWF that facilitates these meetings. |

Northern Ireland Environment
Link
 Northern Ireland Environment Link is a coalition of organisations working
together to promote the environment of Northern Ireland. It acts as a link to
facilitate the work of voluntary groups interested in the environment. It
provides a forum for the exchange of information among its Members and between
Members and Government. NI Environment Link promotes environmental education,
disseminates information and encourages individual and community involvement on
environmental issues. |

Scottish Environment Link

Environment LINK (LINK) is the liaison body for Scotland's voluntary sector
environmental organisations. One in ten Scots is a supporter of one of LINK's
member bodies. Its aim is to secure a sound future for Scotland's environment.
LINK was established in 1987 to provide a forum and network for its member
organisations, enabling informed debate, and assisting co-operation within the
environmental voluntary sector. It also seeks to assist communication between
such organisations, government bodies and other relevant bodies groups. Acting
at local, national and international levels, LINK aims to ensure that Scottish
concerns are fully recognised and considered at each stage of legislative
processes affecting environmental issues.

Wales Environment Link

Wales Environment Link (WEL) is
an umbrella body representing the shared interests of 25 voluntary sector member
organisations, who in turn represent over 150,000 subscribing members in Wales.
Established in 1989, WEL provides a forum for discussion and an active network
for its member organisations, in order to facilitate effective joint working
within the environmental sector in Wales. WEL encourages an exchange of views
and information among member organisations as well as between WEL members and
the Welsh Assembly Government, Assembly Sponsored Public Bodies and other
relevant organisations.
