Butterfly Conservation is a registered charity promoting the conservation of butterflies and moths.

They take practical action to conserve threatened species, undertake scientific study, safeguard and manage important sites including managing nature reserves. Butterfly Conservation's focus is on conservation at a landscape scale to ensure the long term survival of threatened species and allow them to adapt to climate change. They run several internationally renowned recording and monitoring schemes, run through a network of 31 volunteer Branches, and promote butterflies and moths as “quality of life” indicators to government and voluntary bodies. Butterfly Conservation encourages the public enjoyment of butterflies and moths and raises awareness of the environment.
