Become a Member of Wildlife and Countryside Link

Membership of Wildlife and Countryside Link is open to national and international voluntary or other non-profit organisations based in the UK. Member organisations must be able to demonstrate an interest in furthering the work of Link, and their aims must include the protection of wildlife, landscape and the quiet enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside. Individual members of the public are not eligible to join Link, but may be interested in joining one of Link's member organisations.

Membership of Link makes you a part of an influential, well established and well-regarded coalition of like-minded voluntary organisations. It gives you access to a professional secretariat whose priorities are driven entirely by you and the other members of Link. Membership entitles you and other nominated members of your organisation to:

  • Participate in Link initiatives

  • Influence Link's agenda and future direction

  • Initiate and endorse Link policy statements

  • Receive information and seek advice from Link

  • Represent Link on external fora

  • Liaise with organisations throughout the UK through Link's network of sister organisations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Wildlife and Countryside Link has two types of membership - full and associate. This page gives information on Full Membership. Please click here for information regarding Associate Membership.

The cost of membership is based primarily on annual turnover of the applicant organisation. Subscription levels are reviewed annually. Payment is due by 1st January, but monthly direct debit payments can be arranged on request.

Subscription rates for Full Membership in 2008 are:

  • Up to £500,000 turnover per annum: £696

  • £500,000 to £1 million turnover per annum: £927

  • £1-2 million turnover per annum: £1160

  • £2-10 million turnover per annum: £2320

  • £10-50 million turnover per annum: £4637

  • Over £50 million turnover per annum: £4637 + donation
